About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long-Term Care (LTC) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing experience required License: Must have active state license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must be dependable with consistent attendance Strong attendance and punctuality are required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work with individuals from diverse cultures and personalities Description: Facility is a state-run long-term care center that includes rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care. Shifts are 8 hours, 5 days per week, with every other weekend required. The nurse to resident ratio is 1:18-20 in a 300-bed facility. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Medication passes must be performed accurately and safely. Monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition is essential. Timely and accurate documentation must be completed. Nursing care must be provided in accordance with facility policies. Supervision of CNAs on assigned units is required. Organizational and detail-oriented skills are important. Excellent communication skills are necessary. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. First-time travelers are accepted. All requests for time off must be approved at the submission time, and requests will not be approved after an offer is made. All shifts begin 15 minutes before and end 15 minutes after the scheduled time. Failure to show up 15 minutes before and to stay 15 minutes after a shift may result in disciplinary action for attendance issues.
