Pharmacy Technician

Pride Health is hiring for a Pharmacy Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in Washington, DC . This is a 13-week opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Responsibilities Accurately stages medications for dose preparation. Fills new drug orders prior to pharmacist final check. Fills medication carts prior to pharmacist final check. If assigned by departmental leadership, may prepare injectable, chemotherapy, or other specialty medications according to established procedures prior to pharmacist final check. Uses proper techniques to prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds for general and specialized areas as determined by departmental leadership. Delivers medications to patient care areas according to procedures, within scheduled time frames and/or follows pneumatic tube procedures. Performs routine inventory counts of medications, checks expiration dates, and removes all expired or recalled medications for disposal according to departmental policy Qualifications/Requirements Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Current registration with the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy licensure required National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or National Healthcareer Association NHA At least 2 years of experience; Completion of at least 1 travel assignment Location: Troutdale, OR Pay Range: $25/hr to $30/hr Schedule: Sunday–Saturday with rotating day and evening shifts: 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. Weekends required every third weekend or fewer.
