Our client is seeking a - finance professional who combines strategic vision with a hands-on approach. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Controller, Director of Finance, or hands-on CFO who enjoys transforming financial insights into business results while staying engaged in the day-to-day financial operations of the firm.

Director of Finance / Controller

Join one of the Baltimore region's leading law firms, dedicated to helping individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most through estate planning, estate administration, elder care planning, special needs planning, business law, and real estate services. This firm is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on financial leader to join their collaborative team in Lutherville, Maryland and play a key role in their continued growth and success.

We are looking for a finance professional who goes beyond the numbers. The ideal candidate is a business-minded leader who can translate financial data into meaningful insights, identify opportunities, and provide guidance that helps drive smart, strategic decisions across the firm.

As a trusted advisor to the Managing Partners, the Director of Finance/Controller will have a seat at the table and a direct impact on the firm's future. This highly visible role combines strategic leadership with operational responsibility, including financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and business analysis, while overseeing critical day-to-day financial operations. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy partnering with leadership, and be motivated by the opportunity to help shape the financial strategy of a growing, client-focused organization.

Strategic financial planning and business advisory

Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

Multi-entity accounting and financial reporting

Accounts payable and company disbursements

Payroll and commission administration

Cash flow and treasury management

401(k) financial administration and reconciliation

HSA and employee benefits financial administration

Financial controls and process improvement

Lutherville, Maryland Full-Time | Primarily Office Based
