X-Ray Technologist – Bronx, NY

Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Location: Bronx, NY
Pay:  $35.00–$50.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced  X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and produce high-quality images to assist physicians in diagnosing illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Verify patient identity and review physician orders before performing X-ray procedures.
- Operate X-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images of bones, tissues, and organs.
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions regarding the imaging process.
- Position and assist patients appropriately, including patients with limited mobility.
- Use appropriate radiation protection measures to minimize patient exposure.
- Ensure images meet quality standards and minimize the need for repeat examinations.
- Work with the Radiologist to determine whether additional imaging may be required.
- Monitor X-ray equipment and ensure it remains in proper working condition.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of completed X-ray procedures.

Qualifications

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in  Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or a related field .
-  ARRT certification required.
- Appropriate  New York State licensure required.
- Previous X-Ray Technician experience.
- Ability to safely move or lift patients as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
