LVN / LPN - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Description

Job Summary:

LVN / LPN will provide direct patient care in an ambulatory care/clinic/outpatient setting, supporting day-to-day flow while maintaining clinical documentation. The role emphasizes venipuncture, IV therapy support, and timely specimen handling.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures with accurate specimen collection and labeling.
• Start and manage IV access per scope, ensuring patency and patient safety.
• Assist with patient intake, vitals, and preliminary assessments in a clinic workflow.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, following established protocols and aseptic technique.
• Prepare patients for ordered procedures and coordinate follow-up documentation needs.
• Maintain accurate charting and complete required compliance modules prior to start.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA LVN license active at time of submission.
• Maintain current BLS certification (AHA or ARC only).
• Demonstrate IV start capability and CA LVN IV certification at time of submission.
• Perform independent blood withdrawal/phlebotomy with consistent accuracy.
• Bring at least 2 years of experience in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
• Possess 2 recent references from within the past 1 year, with a supervisor or higher contact.
