The hospital has been recognized as one of the top 1% of hospitals in the nation for providing high clinical quality. It has earned an A grade for safety from a national organization, reflecting its commitment to protecting patients and providing safer healthcare. The facility has also achieved Magnet Designation, the highest international honor for nursing excellence. It serves as a referral center for trauma care, stroke care, and neonatal intensive care. The hospital is home to a pediatric facility with specialists in various areas. It boasts one of the busiest robotic surgery programs in the region. The facility provides open heart and interventional cardiology services. Staffing on the unit includes a combination of registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and support staff. Day shift ratios are approximately 1 RN to 5 or 6 patients, while night shift ratios are 1 RN to 6 or 7 patients. Key equipment includes medical telemetry monitoring and electronic medical records. The ideal candidate is hardworking, compassionate, team-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Weekend shifts are required as part of the schedule.
