It is licensed for 815 beds. Recognized as one of the best hospitals in the nation for clinical quality. The hospital has received an A grade for safety and is noted for achievements in protecting patients. It has earned a prestigious designation for nursing excellence. The facility serves as the region's referral center for trauma care, stroke care, and neonatal intensive care. It is home to the only children’s hospital in the region. The hospital provides a bustling robotic surgery program. It is recognized for exceptional patient care and outcomes in cardiac services. Candidates are invited to join a dynamic team. Unit Information: The unit has 20 beds and a staff of 28. The day shift includes a charge nurse, several RNs, patient care technicians, and a unit coordinator. The night shift includes a charge nurse, RNs, patient care technicians, and a unit coordinator. Patient ratios are 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring and related medical equipment. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner/Power Chart. Skill Set: Candidates must possess telemetry certification and BLS certification. Preference will be given to those with medical-surgical certification. Typical procedures performed include telemetry monitoring, Foley insertion, and IV starts. Ideal candidates are outgoing, enjoy fast-paced environments, and are team players. Additional Information: Every other weekend is required. The position is a replacement for a contractor.
