People & Talent Lead

Juridex

We are looking for a People & Talent Lead to build the team that builds JURIDEX. You will own recruiting end-to-end across engineering, GTM, and operations, and you will shape the culture, rituals, and people systems of a fast-growing, distributed company. This is a foundational role: the team you help us hire over the next two years will define what JURIDEX becomes. About the team You will report directly to the founders and partner closely with every hiring manager in the company. We are small enough that you will know everyone by name and large enough that the work is real. We believe people functions are most powerful when they are owned by operators — people who build systems that actually work, not just policies that look good in a handbook. You will have full latitude to design how we hire, onboard, evaluate, and grow people, with strong support from leadership. Why this role matters Companies are made of people, and the people we hire in our first 50 will set the bar — culturally and technically — for everyone who comes after. Getting hiring right is the single highest-leverage thing we can do in the next two years. The systems you build will compound: a great recruiting process produces great hires, who attract more great hires, who shape the company we become. What you'll do Run end-to-end recruiting across engineering, GTM, and operations — from sourcing through offer close. Design our employer brand, careers site, and candidate experience from the ground up. Partner with hiring managers to write strong scorecards, structured interview loops, and calibrated debriefs. Build the foundations of our people function: onboarding, compensation philosophy, performance, levelling, and feedback rituals. Be a trusted partner to founders and leadership on team design, org health, and people issues. Track and improve the metrics that matter: time-to-hire, offer accept rate, quality-of-hire, retention, employee NPS. What we're looking for 5+ years across recruiting and/or people operations, ideally at a high-growth startup that scaled past 50 people. Demonstrated track record of personally closing strong technical and GTM talent in a competitive market. Pragmatic, owner-mindset. You build systems that work, not process documents that gather dust. High judgement on people, culture, and the trade-offs that come with both. Excellent written and verbal communication — you set the tone for every candidate and employee touchpoint. Comfort operating across two locations and time zones (San Francisco and Oslo). Nice to have Experience hiring AI/ML talent in a competitive market. Background as a recruiter, founder, or operator before moving into a People leadership role. Experience building international hiring and people operations across the US and Europe. Familiarity with modern compensation, equity, and levelling frameworks. What we offer A foundational role with direct reporting to the founders and real organisational influence.
