Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Vera Healthcare Center, your essential responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each family member's needs.

• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, families, and individuals to address a wide range of issues such as communication difficulties, grief and loss, and conflict resolution.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices and modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and system-focused therapy, to foster understanding and healing among family members.

• Documenting client progress and treatment outcomes to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with organizational policies.
\n
• Participating in team meetings and case consultations to enhance therapeutic strategies and share insights with fellow clinicians.

• Educating clients about coping strategies and resources available to improve their mental health and strengthen family dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse.set of clients, including: couples dealing with conflicts, families experiencing transitions such as separation or divorce, and individuals facing various emotional and psychological challenges. You will address issues like alcohol abuse, job stress, and blended family dynamics, always prioritizing the client's unique context and background.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active LMFT license in the state of New York.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
