Patient Services Coordinator

Position Overview Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) is seeking a full-time Patient Services Coordinator to split their time between our Joliet and Naperville outpatient clinics. This healthcare administration role functions as a front desk coordinator, medical receptionist, and patient access specialist within fast-paced orthotic and prosthetic clinic environments. The Patient Services Coordinator plays a central role in patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, clinic operations, and healthcare customer service, ensuring an organized and compassionate experience from check-in through follow-up at both locations. This position is ideal for candidates who are comfortable supporting multiple clinic locations and have experience with medical office workflows, outpatient clinic coordination, insurance documentation, HIPAA compliance, and patient management systems. As a first point of contact for patients at both clinics, this role directly impacts patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue cycle support. The successful candidate will combine flexibility, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and healthcare administrative knowledge to provide consistent support to clinicians, referral sources, and patients across the full continuum of care. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Serve as the primary front desk contact for patients, families, and visitors Manage patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and phone communication Complete patient intake processes including demographic entry and insurance documentation Perform insurance verification and explain financial responsibility clearly and professionally Collect and maintain HIPAA acknowledgments, consent forms, and Supplier Standards documentation Support clinicians by coordinating patient flow and ensuring accurate documentation Assist with billing support, scanning, records management, and administrative tasks Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming outpatient clinic environment Collaborate with referral sources and internal teams to support continuity of care Participate in training and ongoing professional development Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Authorization to work in the United States Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with computers, office equipment, and data entry systems Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required for clinic operations Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, patient access, or administrative support role Experience with insurance verification and patient financial counseling Familiarity with medical terminology and outpatient clinic workflows Experience using electronic health record (EHR) or patient management systems Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $20.00 per hour, adjusted based on experience Competitive benefits package (details provided during interview process) Stable, growing healthcare organization with long-term career advancement opportunities Supportive team environment with training and development About Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) is a leading Midwest provider of orthotic and prosthetic care.
