MATERIALS AND PURCHASING COORDINATOR

Randstad Staffing has partnered with a family-owned precision machine shop in Blaine, MN to recruit for their direct-hire Purchasing Coordinator position. In this role you will safely and efficiently maintain operations by coordinating and executing purchasing, inventory planning, and expediting supplies from vendors. Benefits

salary: $52,000 - $85,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices.
• Assist in inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain current documentation regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
• Oversee inventory as needed to maintain inventory and correct supply of raw materials, tooling, and assembly components.
• Monitor inventory of safety stock levels in conjunction with dollar values to maintain proper inventory levels with min/max levels and an eye on the overall inventory cost.
• Verify all transfer and issuing of material and piece parts.
• Maintain accurate system pricing for distribution part numbers.
• Create and distribute production planning reports regularly, including material arrival reports and shortage lists.
• Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and pricing.
• Perform material requirements planning functions in the ERP (Visual) system.
• Examine overstock and obsolete materials and determine their disposition.
• Cooperate with other departments to resolve purchase, customer-related, or invoice problems.
• Assisting in raw material expedites.
• Assist in expediting from outside services.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
