Concrete Laboratory And Qc Technician

Join our in-house concrete laboratory and QC team supporting precast and prestressed products for DOT, marine, port, and infrastructure projects across New England. This is more than a testing job—our lab does mix-design development, surface resistivity and permeability testing, and temperature-matched curing that most concrete labs never touch.

Sample and test raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) for spec compliance

Perform fresh concrete testing—slump, air, temperature, unit weight—per ASTM, ACI, and DOT requirements

Cast, cure, and compression-test cylinders and other specimens

Assist with mix-design development, optimization, and troubleshooting

Perform QC testing on precast and prestressed products

Maintain accurate test records and QC documentation

Review test data to spot trends or quality issues and report to QC management

Help investigate nonconformances and corrective actions

Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; keep a clean, safe lab

Participate in R&D of new materials, mix designs, and QC methods

QC Technician → materials and fresh concrete testing, strength testing, documentation

Senior QC Technician → mix-design trials, durability testing, data analysis, mentoring

QC Specialist → mix-design development, nonconformance investigations, spec review, R&D
