Cost Accountant (Manufacturing) | Hybrid Schedule | Temp-to-Hire

Immediate Need | Houston, TX Area

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity . This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company with strong leadership, outstanding benefits upon conversion, and a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Compensation

• $45.00 - $ 50.00/hour
• Strong potential for permanent hire
• Annual bonus eligibility upon conversion

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid schedule
• 3-4 days work from home
• 1 day per week in the office
• Must live in the Houston, TX area

What You'll Do

• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and production-related financial data
• Support standard costing processes and cost-related reporting
• Investigate variances and provide actionable business insights
• Partner with operations and plant leadership on cost analysis and financial performance
• Assist with month-end close activities and manufacturing reporting
• Leverage ERP data to improve visibility into product and operational costs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Strong cost accounting and standard costing experience required
• SAP S/4HANA experience is mandatory
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical abilities
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
