Senior Trademark ParalegalThe Senior Trademark Paralegal based in Chicago supports complex U.S. and international trademark portfolios. Responsibilities include managing trademark filings, prosecution, renewals, and enforcement actions such as oppositions, cancellations, infringements, UDRPs, and counterfeits. The role involves preparing and filing applications, drafting specifications, reviewing specimens, and responding to USPTO inquiries. Additionally, the paralegal oversees UDRPs and internet enforcement efforts, monitors deadlines through docketing systems, and conducts trademark searches using various databases, supporting attorneys with clearance reviews and coordinating with third-party vendors when necessary. Collaboration with attorneys and support staff is essential to ensure efficient workflow and high client service standards.Applicants should have a bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, with a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Trademark Paralegal in a law firm. Deep knowledge of U.S. trademark procedures, proficiency with legal research tools, and strong skills in Microsoft Office are required. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, effective communicators, discreet, proactive problem-solvers, and adaptable to fast-paced, high-volume environments with shifting priorities.
