Overview:
A leading Law Firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to support its intellectual property team. This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days per week and offers a competitive salary and benefits. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in trademark law and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to legal support.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios, including filings, renewals, and oppositions.
Prepare and submit documents to the USPTO and other global IP offices.
Conduct trademark searches and assist with clearance processes.
Maintain accurate records and databases of trademark assets.
Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams to support brand protection strategies.
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely responses to office actions and other legal requirements.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in trademark law, with strong knowledge of USPTO and international IP procedures.
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines.
Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to high-quality legal support.
