PRN Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a specimen processor for overnight, as-needed work in Overland Park, Kansas. The role involves preparing, sorting, labeling, and routing laboratory specimens while maintaining accurate data entry in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing according to standard procedures
• Unpack, sort, and route specimens to designated staging areas
• Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Enter patient information and resolve documented issues with problem specimens
• Meet department activity and production goals while maintaining specimen storage standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to pass color blindness test
• Experience in lab or clinical specimen processing (preferred)
