Physician - Gastroenterologist

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterologist for a 25-day assignment in New York, commencing Sep 14, 2026. This role involves a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Friday from 8 am to 3 pm, complemented by weeknight, weekend, and holiday call coverage. The physician will primarily focus on conducting scopes, managing clinic days, and performing various gastroenterology and hepatology procedures. Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform scopes and manage clinic days.
- Provide weeknight call coverage.
- Handle 24-hour weekend and holiday call coverage (out of house).
- Conduct a range of gastroenterology procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, esophageal pH testing, and sigmoidoscopy.
- Manage patients with conditions such as Colon Cancer Screening, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Liver Disease, and Pancreatic Disease.
- Administer infusion therapy, including treatment for Crohn's disease.
- Conduct typical clinical consults and follow-ups.
- Perform all GI procedures at the Geneva Surgery Center.
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required.
- The client utilizes Epic EMR.
- Work hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8 am to 3 pm on Friday.
- Call schedule includes weeknight, 24-hour weekend, and holiday call.
