Your Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough patient evaluations, request necessary diagnostic tests, and develop tailored care strategies
  • Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, working side by side with physicians or autonomously (according to your credentials)
  • Educate patients and families on preventive measures, wellness strategies, and effective disease management
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in alignment with best practices
  • Engage in follow-up care and chronic illness management for ongoing patient welfare
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and cohesive patient care
  • Accurately document all patient encounters within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Certifications
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or specialty equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days)
