Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?The F135 Fan design team is seeking an experienced Design Engineering professional who works independently. Experience in commercial and/or military Fan, Low Pressure Compressor, and/or High Pressure Compressor design is desired. Static hardware design experience is desired. If you have relevant design background or experience in these areas and possess the skills and motivation to bring new ideas into practice, we would like to like to hear from you.What You Will DoDesign support across all phases of the design cycle, preliminary through detailed design, validation, manufacturing, and operational service and will work on the designs of any component within the fan module (i.e. cases, frames, IBR’s, bypass ducts, kinematics, etc…)Support the existing installed F135 fleet through enhanced commonality and optimization of components to ensure that the current and future needs of the business and customer are met.Expand repairability/maintainability for our military customer and MRO facilities as well as work with quality clinic and related departments to support the test and verification of field issuesDesign and implements common procedures and standard work across the organization to optimize efficiency and quality. Also develop data and makes layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal.Design and review layouts of components, calculate stack-up of detail components, and perform major cost studies consisting of new or existing details and/or marked prints and all supporting documentation, when necessary, to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.Resolve design problems of difficult-to-complex scope to ensure project completion as well as review completed layouts and drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.Communicate with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and ensure project completion.
