Requirements

• 2+ years of sales, hospitality, event, customer service, account management, or business development experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive, energetic, and professional presence
• The ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• A collaborative mindset and team-first attitude
• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences
• Comfort working toward sales goals and revenue targets
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Bonus Points For

• Catering or event industry experience
• Venue, hotel, restaurant, or hospitality sales experience
• Existing Twin Cities business or community connections
• Experience with event management software

The Opportunity

As an Event Sales Consultant, you'll help clients navigate the event planning process while generating revenue across Mintahoe's portfolio of venues, catering services, and hospitality brands.

You'll serve as both a sales professional and trusted advisor, helping clients find the right solutions for their events while building lasting relationships along the way.

Business Development & Sales

• Respond to inbound inquiries and identify new business opportunities
• Build relationships with corporate, social, wedding, and nonprofit clients
• Conduct venue tours and client consultations
• Create customized proposals and event recommendations
• Follow up on leads and maintain an active sales pipeline
• Negotiate contracts and secure bookings
• Achieve individual sales and revenue goals

Client Experience

• Guide clients through the planning process from inquiry to event execution
• Understand client needs, goals, budgets, and expectations
• Provide recommendations on menus, venues, services, and event logistics
• Maintain regular communication throughout the planning process
• Deliver a professional, responsive, and polished client experience
• Help turn first-time clients into repeat customers and advocates

Team Collaboration

• Partner with culinary, operations, venue, and event teams
• Communicate client needs and event details effectively
• Ensure smooth handoffs and successful event execution
• Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and team initiatives
• Support a culture of excellence, accountability, and hospitality
