Job TitleIndustrial Cleaners (Oil/lube/Trash/Spills)General Cleaners (Janitorial-Bathrooms/Breakrooms)Job DescriptionThe cleaner maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe. Essential functions include:Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.Cleans, sweeps and mops floors.Empties trash.Stocks dispensers.Cleans/sanitizes toilets/handles, urinals, sinks and countertops.Cleans/sanitizes all surface areas.Cleans mirrors.Maintains outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways.Takes out all exterior trash cans.Sweep debris.Removes/labels recycling materials.Cleans and maintains oil and waste spills/leaks.Cleans guard rails.Replaces soiled oil/water pads and absorbent socks.Cleans up all water/fluid spills.Competencies:Thoroughness.Time Management.Situational Awareness.Ability to work as a team.Work Environment:This job operates in a busy and dirty plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to oil and airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds.
