The ideal candidate will develop a cohesive teaching team, oversee the curriculum, and manage daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement educational curriculum through creative and engaging activities that align with early learning standards.
• Model excellence and coach the teaching team to achieve success.
• Design and execute age-appropriate activities to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and conferences.
• Maintain compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment by adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and standards.
• Accurately maintain records, forms, and files.
• Develop and implement a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
• Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
• Requirements include ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
