Biology Expert (AI Training) About the Role What if your years of biology research and advanced training could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex problems in genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics? We're looking for Biology experts - Masters and PhD holders - to help build and refine cutting-edge AI models by developing, solving, and evaluating advanced scientific problems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for scientists who want to do intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. No prior AI experience required - just deep domain expertise and a passion for scientific rigor.

- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields to design complex, meaningful problem sets
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen AI model reasoning
- Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and depth across all deliverables
- Help shape how the next generation of AI understands and reasons through biological concepts
- Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field - Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or equivalent
- Strong expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
- Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis
- Exceptionally clear written communicator with a sharp eye for scientific detail
- Self-motivated and consistent when working independently and asynchronously
- Fluent in English
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
- Experience designing research problems, exam questions, or scientific assessments
- Familiarity with computational biology tools or bioinformatics pipelines
- Background in peer review or scientific editing
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams
- Fully remote and flexible - work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based scientific work
- Put your advanced degree to work in a novel, high-impact domain
- Contribute to AI development that will shape how biology is understood and applied at scale
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
