Job Summary

The Accounting Technician performs accounting, payroll, and purchasing tasks, and supports organizational fiscal processes such as auditing, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and reconciling.


The position mainly supports purchasing functions along with other general accounting related duties.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical requirements for the position include the ability to do the following regularly for short or long periods of time: bend; drive or travel to a variety of sites within a reasonable time frame; grasp; hear; kneel; lift and carry at least twenty-five pounds; lift from the ground, chest, shoulder or above, and waist; operate all required equipment; pull; push; reach above the shoulders; read electronic and written materials; see with visual acuity (including color, depth perception, and field of vision); sit; squat; speak clearly in person and on the phone; stand; stoop; talk; transverse across uneven surfaces; twist at the neck and waist; and walk. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, and/or other standard office equipment.
