About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: NC or Compact license in hand Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Must have experience with patient ratios of 1:2. Charting system experience preferred. Description: The ideal candidate will have experience in the CVPICU specialty. Candidates must possess the ability to manage complex cases involving congenital heart disease and heart failure. Expertise in monitoring hemodynamics and administering intravenous medications is essential. Candidates should be comfortable working with pediatric patient populations, including neonates and adolescents. Flexibility to work every other weekend is required. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Candidates should have skills in equipment management such as ECMO and VADs. Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary for success in this role. Commitment to infection control protocols is critical in maintaining patient safety. The candidate must be familiar with various procedures and technologies specific to the CVPICU environment. Candidates must be able to respond effectively to emergency situations and provide critical interventions as necessary.
