Before and After Care Area Manager

Job Title Area Site Manager Department B&A Connections Reports To Director of B&A Connections and Extension Programs Position Details Type: Full‑time 12 months (35 hours/week). Working hours split shift (AM/PM) as assigned. Salary: $18.69 – $21.63 per hour based on experience. Minimum Job Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum two years full‑time experience in a school‑age or early childhood center, education, or child care setting. Must meet Oklahoma Department of Human Services requirements, including a clean OSBI background check. Must complete and maintain 20 hours per year of pre‑approved training required by OKDHS through the CECPD online database. Certifications: CPR and First Aid. Summary Responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the site program, working hands‑on with students, implementing daily activities, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with DHS standards and licensing regulations. Essential Job Functions Manage day‑to‑day operations of the site program and work hands‑on with students during class time, implementing daily activities aligned with weekly themes. Maintain confidentiality. Report any suspected abuse to the Director of B&A Connections and Extension Programs. Complete required paperwork and computer work, including: Parent sign‑in/sign‑out forms. Monthly newsletters/calendar via email. Supply requests for DHS required items and curriculum. Update and check online database for student and contact information. Respond to emails from parents, other site managers, program coordinators, and the Director daily. Maintain attendance records, late‑pick‑up fees, and verbal pick‑up authorizations. Keep the DHS Board current with all required and correct forms. Ensure all DHS standards and licensing regulations are met by all staff. Oversee one event and one service project per semester. Meet emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child in care. Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with supervisor and all other staff team members. Maintain and foster daily open communication with parents. Arrange a classroom environment in accordance with program goals and philosophy. Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials through supply requests. Attend staff meetings and serve as coach/mentor for other site managers in assigned area. Prepare curriculum and supplies for summer camp through staff meetings and other planning periods. Conduct safety training and drills routinely. Attendance Statement Must maintain 95 % attendance for assigned responsibilities. Environmental Conditions Work inside and outside, including minimal exposure to extreme environmental conditions. Outdoor activities on playground or inside activities in gym/large motor room. Physical Standards Stand or walk for long periods of time. Mobile and able to walk indoors.
