MEDICAL ASSISTANT/INTERNAL MED - M/T/TH (900-530) W (900-230) Full Time Hourly 30-40 Smallwood, Toledo, OH, US Toledo Clinic's Internal Medicine Office, located at 3401 Glendale Ave Toledo OH, is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA or the ability to obtain credential within 60 days of hire) to provide both clinical and administrative support. The hours are Mon/Tues/Thurs (9:00-5:30), and Wed (9:00-2:30). Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus. General Summary: Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Answering phones - courteously and professionally. Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications. Updating insurance information. Answering general patient questions. Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel. Collecting co-pays. Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets. Preparing and cleaning exam rooms. Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Education: HS diploma or GED. Required: Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required. Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
