Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00–19:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting across day shifts
• Float to like units or lower acuity units across multiple campuses as needed (excluding the ED)
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle
• Expected to work at least one holiday, including the associated holiday weekend
• Complete non-billable orientation modules by assigned deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temp or Perm; no EMSA)
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2+ years of concurrent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown specialty
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); no new RTO requests after submission
• 1 supervisory-level reference required at time of submission
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple hospital campuses or health system locations
• Familiarity with stepdown and progressive care workflows in a high-volume environment
• Prompt interview availability, including across time zones, within the same day or next 3 business days
