About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred; will consider candidates with 2 years of experience on a case-by-case basis. License: Pending state license accepted; must obtain prior to starting. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Comfortable with LTAC facility; experience with charting systems, specifically Epic. Description: This position requires a Physical Therapist specializing in Long Term Acute Care. The clinician will work in a day shift schedule from 08:30 to 16:30. The role demands previous acute care experience and should include patient care practices. The clinician will float within their scope to meet facility needs. Attendance policies and work commitments will be strictly adhered to. All requested time off must be included in the initial submission. The physical therapist will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide effective patient care. Patient ratios will be between 10-12. The daily census will range from 22-25 patients. Experience in rehabilitation and knowledge of adaptive devices is essential. The therapist will engage in assessments, treatment planning, and patient education. Knowledge of various medical conditions and rehabilitation techniques is required. Travel experience is preferred. Candidates must pass specific assessment tests during orientation. The role requires compliance with all facility policies and attendance expectations. This role involves working with adult patients in an LTAC setting. Demonstrating effective communication skills and teamwork is crucial. Prior experience in a rehabilitation hospital or LTAC setting is required. Candidates should be adept in managing patient care and rehabilitation goals. Additional duties may include documentation and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
