Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist Location & Schedule Work Location: Schaumburg, Travel Required. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled 8 hours varying between 7:00am–6:00pm with rotating Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture technique for all age groups. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Education & Experience High school graduate or equivalent required. National Phlebotomy Certification or qualification to sit for phlebotomy certification exam preferred. Prior experience as a phlebotomist or an equivalent combination of graduation from a certified phlebotomy school and work experience in a healthcare field preferred. Moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred. Compensation The base pay range is $17.65–$26.50 per hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
