Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher at the high school level. This part-time role (0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week) runs from August 11th through May 21st and is based on-site at a collaborative and student-focused educational environment. Qualifications and Experience:

• Active CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement is mandatory (required documentation must show application if pending).
• License should explicitly indicate Professional Teacher License with endorsement in Special Education Generalist (grades 5-21).
• Positions requiring substitute, temporary, interim, or hybrid licenses are not being considered.
• Strong foundation in teaching practices, instructional strategies, and specialized instruction tailored to students on alternative standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the complete IEP process, including creating, updating, and implementing individualized plans.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other educators, specialists, and IEP team members.

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with special needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and appropriately challenging.
• Develop, write, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Closely collaborate with other professionals to support student progress and foster a cooperative environment.
• Bring creativity to curriculum modifications and differentiated learning experiences to meet diverse student needs.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to drive achievement.
