SEN Teacher

Work part-time (20 hours per week) during the academic year, offering your expertise to empower students and support their growth from August 11th through May 21st.

Key Qualifications:

Hold a valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement; documentation required (Professional Teacher License endorsed in Special Education Generalist 5-21).
License must have been applied for and proof must be provided; substitute, temporary, interim, or other licenses are not accepted unless documentation of proper endorsement application accompanies submission.
Expertise in designing and delivering specialized instruction for students with diverse learning needs, specifically those on alternative standards.
Thorough understanding of the IEP process, compliance requirements, and collaborative practices within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong foundation in adapting instructional strategies and employing evidence-based teaching practices.
Onsite position; remote, hybrid, or VOCO options are not available.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction and support within a high school environment, ensuring students receive differentiated and effective classroom experiences.
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Collaborate with fellow educators, related service professionals, and families, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
Apply research-based strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Regularly assess and document student progress toward IEP goals, adjusting interventions as needed.
