The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in aerospace system or aircraft development which include complex electronics and software. The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including, software, electrical, mechanical and certification engineers. The ability to communicate clearly with other engineers and regulatory authorities is essential to be successful in this role. Responsibilities include conducting design reviews, validation and verification activities, inter and intra system integration .The candidate should expect to contribute as a team member to establish, manage and ensure compliance to the customer, regulatory, aircraft and system level requirements including demonstrating compliance through safety assessment.How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:Perform propulsion System and Component requirements development and validationConduct system integration activities such as interface definition, hardware and software test support and system to system integration testingPlan, coordinate and execute verification activities with various engineering disciplinesMinimum Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, software, aerospace or systems engineering3+ years of experience performing SAE ARP4754A, ARP4761 or equivalent processesExperience with title 14 CFR parts 23, 25, 27, 29, or 33Experience with development of requirements-based testing for complex electronic systemsDemonstrated proficiency working within a structured development processAbove and Beyond Qualifications:Master’s degree in systems engineering10+ years of relevant aerospace industry experienceExperience with certification of traditional enginesExperience with motor control and inverter design would be valuableExperience with MathWorks’ tools such as MATLAB and Simulink for model-based developmentExperience with embedded control systemsExperience with Polarion or equivalent Application Lifecycle Management toolThe wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role.
