Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of students in the San Francisco Bay Area as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, direct hire opportunity supports a single school site, with openings across Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels for the upcoming school year starting August 13th. Positions are available for Mild/Moderate and Extensive Support Needs, with one dedicated Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) role as well.
Bring your expertise as a certified Special Education Teacher to deliver individualized instruction and create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist PPS required (candidates without this credential will not be considered)
- Experience with Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, or High School special education settings
- Comprehensive understanding of Mild/Moderate and/or Extensive Support Needs populations
- Strong ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for supporting students with exceptional needs in achieving academic and social growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, differentiated instruction for special education students
- Develop, revise, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and staff
- Employ a variety of specialized teaching techniques, instructional materials, and classroom management strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as provided
