Staff Accountant

Primary Responsibilities:

As a full-time Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will revolve around producing accurate Monthly Financial Statements and managing Daily Accounts Payable (A/P) processes. You'll need to bring your detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills to the table, ensuring that every task is completed with precision. Additionally, while you'll often work independently, you'll also collaborate with the team to meet deadlines efficiently and accurately. Your positive attitude will be essential as you navigate these tasks and contribute to the overall success of our team.

• Full cycle A/P processing, review, reconciliation, and payments
• Monthly bank reconciliations with a high volume of credit cards
• Monthly Financial Statement preparation & analysis - this includes accrual journal entries preparation & recording, month end closing reporting, and statement reconciliations
• Perform detailed account & invoice analysis to ensure appropriate accounting of transactions and account balances
• Take on specialized tasks, as assigned

What You Bring to Us:

• Must have 2+ years experience in Property Management accounting or similar industry
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Experience with Accrual Financial Statement preparation and analysis
• Processing a high volume of A/P
• Possess strong written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task with little supervision to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and ability to switch between tasks while still meeting deadlines
