Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant / Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations, and payroll . This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, payments, and account reconciliation.
• Process and maintain Accounts Payable (AP) invoices and payments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll processing , including reviewing timesheets and ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Reconcile customer and vendor accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll information.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong experience with AR and AP .
• Experience performing bank reconciliations .
• Previous payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a logistics, transportation, distribution, or similar business environment.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting.
• Experience supporting month-end close.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
