Supporting the successful execution of publishing schedules, the full-time Temporary Associate Managing Editor will coordinate timelines, track project milestones, and provide reporting for children's titles in a fully remote capacity across specified states. Key responsibilities Create and maintain project schedules for assigned imprints to support publishing goals Track key milestones and deadlines using project management tools Generate regular project status reports and analyze scheduling data for process improvements Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in editorial production or project coordination in publishing Experience with project management platforms such as Smartsheet or Basecamp Working knowledge of the publishing process from manuscript to finished product Experience with full-color, highly illustrated books and overseas printing timelines Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify workflow improvements
