Accounting Manager

What You'll Do As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all general accounting activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial operations. Key responsibilities include: Lead and develop a team of two accounting professionals. Manage the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes. Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries. Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports. Manage job cost accounting, including WIP, cost allocations, and cost‑of‑sales reporting. Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management functions. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures. Support annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activities. Administer business insurance programs and related risk management activities. Partner with operations, inventory, customer service, IT, and leadership teams to improve processes and data integrity. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy. Back up for Payroll What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience. Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing a team. Manufacturing industry experience is required. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls. Experience with ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
