Physical Therapist (PT)

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in an acute rehabilitation unit. As a Physical Therapist, you will implement and oversee patient treatment plans, ensuring optimal recovery and rehabilitation.

Position Information:

• Department: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: Days
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Weekend Hours: As needed, with flexibility during the week

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy to patients with conditions such as stroke, amputations, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic issues, and Parkinson's disease.
• Utilize appropriate rehabilitation equipment and techniques to optimize patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care and recovery goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Required Certifications: BLS certification and state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Education: Master's degree in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or equivalent.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 9
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1
• Equipment Used: Lite Gait, MoVeo, NuStep, Bariatric parallel bars
• Electronic Health Record: ProDoc

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, adaptability, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Previous experience with neuro rehabilitation is preferred.

Dress Code:

Scrubs are required, with navy blue as the primary color. Other colors are allowed, but blue jeans are not acceptable.
