About the Role:
Love My Bilingual Angels, GFD in Ridgewood, NY is looking for a warm, nurturing Part Time Daycare Assistant to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children in a bilingual, enriching environment. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities and play
- Support bilingual learning by encouraging communication in both languages
- Assist with daily routines including meals, nap time, and hygiene
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized daycare
- Communicate positively with parents and guardians during drop-off and pick-up
- Assist lead teachers with lesson plans and structured learning activities
- Monitor children's behavior and development, reporting concerns to supervisors
Requirements:
- Prior experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other language) strongly preferred
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with young children
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- High school diploma or equivalent required; ECE coursework a plus
