As a Staff Accountant at Stateside Brands, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounts payable support. This role will be heavily involved in the inventory reconciliation process and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory variances. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This position is hybrid with 4 days per week on-site at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile inventory balances across the copacker network and resolve variances
• Ensure daily inventory transactions within the self-distribution business are transacted in a timely manner. Investigate and communicate variances to the appropriate parties.
• Ensure accuracy of month-end inventory counts across two warehouses
• Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with company policies and US GAAP
• Perform month-end balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies on a timely basis
• Assist with the monthly financial close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals, accurate coding and timely payment
• Review and properly code employee expenses and other business expenditures and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as operations and supply chain, to streamline processes, resolve issues, and optimize financial performance
• Assist with special projects, process improvements and other accounting duties, as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or beverage environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills. NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Military experience is a plus.

Compensation

• Estimated Base Salary: $70,000 USD.
• Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
• The salary range refers to base salary only and is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
