Details 36-bed Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio Night shift, 3x12 schedule from 19:00 to 07:00 Float required to units of equal acuity Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience preferred Epic charting experience preferred Trauma Level I experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral/PICC line care Experience with blood product administration and heparin protocols Skilled in cardiac drip management (no titration) and PCA Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and remote telemetry monitoring Knowledge of BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation preferred Experience with tracheostomy care and oxygen administration Experience caring for CVA, spinal cord injury, and cardiac surgery patients preferred Skilled in wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including use of rapid response/code teams Manage feeding tubes and surgical drains as needed Care for post-MI and pre/post cardiac catheterization patients Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler Travel pairs or groups are not accepted No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-734207.
