Details Work in a 36-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00) Patient ratio of 1:6 Floating required to units of equal acuity Epic charting system used Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS certification required 2 years of RN experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience preferred Epic charting experience preferred Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, and port access/management Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and remote telemetry monitoring Competency in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE Additional Information Provide care for cardiac telemetry, CVA, spinal cord injury, GI, cardiovascular, and renal patient populations Assist with pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery care as needed Manage feeding tubes, surgical drains, and hemodialysis patients as required No travel pairs or groups accepted for this position Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted Candidates residing in certain nearby counties are not eligible for this assignment Former permanent staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-734206.
