This role will involve:

• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts and appetizers.
• Specific tasks include but not limited to veggie prep, grilling, roasting, soups, stocks, baking
• Following specific recipes as directed by Lead Chef
• Cooking food in a timely manner
• Ensuring appealing presentation
• Checking freshness of food for proper food storage and rotation
• Experimenting with recipes and suggesting new ingredients
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
• Creating prep lists

This person will bring:

• Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of culinary techniques
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks under extreme pressure
• Excellent time management abilities
• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
• Familiarity with sanitation regulations and have Food Handlers Card
• Taking leadership and providing direction as needed of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to take and provide direction and work independently with those directions.
• Knowledge of baking and pastry techniques

The expected compensation for this position in California is:

$24.00 USD - $30.00 Hourly
