Accountant

Staff AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills to support multi-company financial reporting and month-end close processes. This role involves managing intercompany activity, reconciling accounts, and working with large datasets across multiple Excel workbooks.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, ensuring supporting documentation is complete for multiple companies.Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations.Prepare and maintain multiple Profit & Loss statements across multiple companies.Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close and maintain general ledger accuracy, including accruals and expense allocations.Assist with rollforward schedules (e.g., fixed assets, leases, prepaids, accruals) as assigned.Reconcile Point-of-Sale (POS) activity to ensure all revenue is accurately recorded.Create and maintain advanced Excel reports using Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and other advanced functions.Work with large datasets and multiple linked Excel workbooks.Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and reconciling items in the general ledger.Assist with month-end close activities and ad hoc financial reporting.Provide documentation and assistance for internal and external audits.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.3+ years of accounting experience.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required. Candidates should be comfortable working with large datasets, linked workbooks, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and complex formulas.Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity financial reporting.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.Experience with ERP/accounting systems is preferred.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
