Overview
Registered Nurse – ER Lead (Travel) in Templeton, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital with a nights shift (3x12-hour nights). Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in the ER, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and ancillary staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing and support personnel using professional judgment and supervisory discretion.
- Ensure patients receive cost-effective, professional care that supports positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction, while prioritizing patient safety.
- Assess the unit’s performance and implement steps to improve the patient experience and quality of care.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to maintain regulatory compliance and optimize workflow during high-demand periods.

Requirements
- Active California registered nurse license or ability to obtain prior to start.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a unit-based setting, preferably in emergency or acute care.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff at all levels, including physicians and management.
- Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment in a fast-paced ER environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
