Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for short-stay adult and/or pediatric patients, including assessments, monitoring, and timely interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, document responses, and identify adverse effects or complications.
- Perform ongoing rounds, update care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and discharge planning.
- Document nursing care in the electronic health record (Epic) and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
- Implement and uphold infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and quality of care measures.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS certification
- At least two years of recent RN experience in the field
- Epic EHR experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced short-stay hospital setting
- Must be able to meet the shift schedule and assignment requirements
