Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the PACU, including continuous monitoring of vital signs and clinical status after anesthesia.
- Assess, stabilize, and discharge patients from the recovery area, applying perioperative protocols and pain management plans.
- Manage airway status, posture, drainage devices, IV lines, and catheter care as appropriate.
- Administer medications per orders, document findings promptly, and communicate changes to the surgical team and receiving units.
- Ensure patient safety and infection control through evidence-based practices; provide handoffs and thorough status updates to the next care team.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing colleagues to optimize throughput and patient outcomes.

Requirements
- PACU or perioperative recovery experience is preferred.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including 12-hour shifts (3x12) and to meet a 36-hour weekly commitment.
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced perioperative environment.
