About the Role:

A well-established family law firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Family Law Associate Attorney to join its growing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong Texas family law experience who enjoys courtroom advocacy, client interaction, and managing cases with a high level of autonomy.

The successful candidate will represent clients in family law matters, manage their own docket, prepare legal documents, negotiate settlements, and appear regularly in court, hearings, mediations, and depositions. The role offers flexibility through a remote work environment while providing access to experienced attorneys for guidance on legal strategy and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in Texas family law courts.
• Manage an assigned caseload from initial consultation through resolution.
• Prepare, draft, and review pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Advise clients regarding their legal rights, options, and case strategy.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve legal disputes when appropriate.
• Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Appear in court and represent clients during hearings and other proceedings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout their cases.
• Conduct legal research and apply relevant Texas family law statutes and case law.
• Maintain accurate case files and meet all court and case deadlines.
• Comply with applicable legal standards, ethical requirements, and firm policies.
• Handle administrative and case management responsibilities associated with assigned matters.
• Work collaboratively with managing and senior attorneys while maintaining a high level of independence.

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Minimum 3 years of Texas family law experience.
• Strong experience handling family law litigation and courtroom matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload and prioritize multiple matters.
• Strong negotiation and client counseling skills.
• Professional and outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to appear in person for court dates, hearings, mediations, and depositions throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
• Experience with custody, SAPCR matters, divorce, modifications, enforcement, or a combination of family law matters preferred.
