Responsibilities Deliver effective medical care within an in‑patient environment. Prescribe and instruct on relevant drugs and non‑pharmaceutical patient care aids. Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards. Understand and fulfill accreditation and certification requirements. Apply community medical diagnostic and patient care services knowledge within area of expertise. Apply current principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications MD, DO or equivalent from an accredited medical school/university. Board certified or board eligible in specialty. State of Georgia medical license, federal DEA, ALS, and BLS certification. Faculty rank: Assistant Professor – early career with appropriate postgraduate training; Associate Professor – at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent; Professor – at least five years at rank of Associate Professor or equivalent. Evidence of teaching ability, scholarship, and other academic duties. Shift, Salary, and Benefits The position is fiscal year based and works year‑round with a full‑time equivalent of 1.0. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and is subject to availability of funds.
